Website Visitors and App Users
Like most website and app operators, YakSee collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. YakSee’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors and customers use our products. From time to time, YakSee may release non-personally- identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its services.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain users or visitors of YakSee choose to interact with YakSee in ways that require YakSee to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that YakSee gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask customers who sign up for an account within the YakSee mobile applications to provide an email address. In each case, YakSee collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the user’s interaction with YakSee. YakSee does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally- identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain app- related activities.
YakSee may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites and users of its iOS and Android applications. For instance, YakSee will monitor usage YakSee functions and of user’s locations in accessing those functions. YakSee provides this information to YakSee broadcasters to better enable them to tailor content to their audience. However, YakSee does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
